Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Washington will stop supporting offensive operations in Yemen

The US National Security Adviser, Jake Sullivan, announced, on Thursday, the end of Washington’s support for military operations in Yemen.

This came during a press briefing held by the National Security Adviser jointly with the White House spokeswoman, Jane Saki.

Sullivan said, “President Joe Biden will announce today the end of US support for offensive operations in Yemen.”

He explained that the US administration spoke with officials in Saudi Arabia and the UAE about the new US position on the war in Yemen.

In another context, Sullivan referred to the US President’s intention to freeze the redeployment of American soldiers in Germany.
