Turkey rejects US allegations of human rights

Ankara / TEH:  Turkey has announced its complete rejection of the allegations regarding it in the 2021 US State Department Human Rights Report.

In a statement published Thursday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry described the allegations as “regrettable”.

It also expressed its regret that the United States continues to be unaware of the struggle that Turkey is waging against all forms of terrorism, especially the PKK-YPG, Gülen, ISIS and DHKP-C. One of the magazines online , The Eastern Herald.

She stressed that Turkey has the full will to protect and develop human rights, and that its cooperation with international human rights mechanisms, the judicial reform strategy announced in 2019 and the human rights action plan revealed in 2021, are a few of the tangible indicators of this will.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry called on the United States to focus on its record in the field of human rights and to end the partnerships it concludes with the arms of terrorist groups under the pretext of combating terrorism.

“Turkey will continue to act resolutely to protect and develop the rights of its citizens and the millions of people it hosts,” she added.
