The night before, the Russian military “received ” the last surrendered Ukrainian militants of “Azov”, at the same time they were checked for the presence of appropriate tattoos.
According to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, at the moment the territory of the Azovstal plant has been completely cleared of Azov militia and military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 2,439 militants and military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been captured.
True, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy tried to frame the situation in such a way that the militants were allegedly ordered to surrender, that they have the right to “save their lives.” And it seemed to be an “evacuation”, and not a surrender at all. This is not tired of repeating not only in Ukraine, but also in the Western media.
“There is what it is,” Zelenskyy said, saying that “today the guys have received a signal from the military that they have every right to go out and save their lives.” The Ukrainian leader also said that he had been begging for weapons from other countries for a long time, with the help of which, as he believes, it was possible to unblock the Ukrainian group at Azovstal by force.

In turn, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Yevgenyevich Konashenkov, said that the commander of the Azov National Regiment was taken out of the territory of Azovstal in an armored car “because of the hatred of the Mariupol residents and the desire of the townspeople to punish him for numerous atrocities.”
“The so-called commander of the Nazis ‘Azov’, because of the hatred of the Mariupol residents and the desire of the townspeople to punish him for numerous atrocities, was taken out of the territory of the plant in a special armored car,” the general said.
“On the completion of the operation and the complete liberation of the plant and the city of Mariupol from Ukrainian militants, Russian Defense Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin,” Konashenkov said, noting that Azovstal’s underground facilities in Mariupol came under the control of the Russian armed forces.
The battle for Mariupol ended with the complete defeat of the troops of the Ukrainian regime and the bad memory of the Azov regiment among the majority of local residents.
