Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Biden is “healthy”, “energetic”, but coughs often. Doctor’s report

The White House has pledged to make the president’s doctor’s report public, as it did in November 2021 during the Democratic president’s previous health check. The document will obviously be read with all the more attention in America as the campaign for 2024 has already begun, AFP reported.

Joe Biden, despite a low confidence rating in opinion polls, reiterates that he “intends” to run, and therefore, perhaps, will fight with his predecessor, Donald Trump, who is already officially participating in the electoral race. A few days ago, the head of the White House said that he had not yet made a “final” decision.

On November 19, 2021, Biden already underwent a full medical examination. He underwent a colonoscopy under general anesthesia. He handed over his powers for an hour and twenty-five minutes to Vice President Kamala Harris, who briefly became the first woman to hold presidential powers in US history.

Dr. Kevin O’Connor explained that the head of the White House is “in good health”, “energetic” and suitable for of president given his age, with his share of drugs and minor ailments. Biden has so far answered questions about age with jokes, or dodged them with statements like, “Look at me at work!”

The doctor noted Joe Biden’s stiffer gait, explaining it as a “mild” nerve condition that hit his legs. He also reported frequent coughing due to gastroesophageal reflux disease. Joe Biden does not smoke, drink, play sports, and has had no major health issues since undergoing brain surgery in 1988. Last July, he tested positive for COVID- 19, but no serious form of the disease was observed.

The US president has so far shown an endurance uncharacteristic for his age, combining public speaking with travel. But his age is a frequent target of Republican opposition attacks. Some opponents of the president even claim that he has serious mental problems, given the occasional moments of confusion and his slurred speech.

Nikki Haley, a 51-year-old Republican who just entered the race, on Wednesday called for intelligence tests for any elected official over the age of 75. That also applies to 76-year-old former President Donald Trump, his potential rival. Haley, a former U.S. ambassador to the UN, hopes to capitalize on a push for elite renewal among the U.S. electorate, who polls show want no more of a second term from Biden than a new Trump presidency.
