Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Lavrov called Sweden’s and Denmark’s lack of response to letters regarding Nord Streams rude

According to the Minister, in the letters, Mishustin suggested appointing a contact person with whom it would be possible to have a conversation, since the incident occurred in territorial waters, in the exclusive zone of Sweden and the Denmark, and the pipelines are owned by a Russian company. However, as of September 2022, these countries have not responded.

“I think that’s rude” – quotes TASS Lavrov. He added that the lack of response to the letters hides the complete failure of the attempts to conceal the responsibility of the collective Occident, led by the United States, in the sabotage of Nord Stream.

Recall that on February 8, the American journalist Seymour Hersh published an article on his investigation into the Nord Stream explosions. He says in particular that American divers planted explosives last year. Later, Hersh said that US President Joe Biden decided to undermine Nord Stream after many doubts, and that the purpose of the sabotage was to “freeze” the Germans in winter, but not let them stop supporting Kiev, nor to allow Berlin to leave the sanctions regime against Russia.

We add that Russia is calling a meeting of the UN Security Council on February 22 on the sabotage of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 pipelines. Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, l announced yesterday. The diplomat noted that the meeting is called in light of new information regarding the explosion of the Nord Stream gas pipeline.
