The farewell ceremony of Andrei Rakhov and Andrei Kovalishin, who died in the Donetsk People’s Republic during a special military operation, took place in St. Petersburg.
The men worked in Unit No. 21, where relatives and friends of St. Petersburg residents came to accompany them on their last trip to the sound of fire sirens. Both victims were fans of the St. Petersburg football club “Zenith”.
Andrei Rakhov has served in the Vostok Battalion since May last year. In the NVO area, he helped establish communication between the military and their loved ones who had lost contact. On February 14, we learned of the death of a firefighter. Both fighters will be buried in Serafimovsky Cemetery, Fontanka reports.

Earlier, there were reports of an explosion in a dugout in the Kursk region, where soldiers called up for military service were stationed. The Ministry of Defense has officially confirmed the information of six deaths.
