Spokesman of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ignat, on the air of the national telethon, said what weapons Kiev needed to win in the special operation zone of the Russian Federation. The representative of the command stressed that these are high-precision and long-range weapons of various calibers, as well as air defense systems.
“We need high-precision, long-range weapons of different types. This applies to artillery and operational tactical systems, as well as air defense systems,” Ignat said.
The speaker called the all-round foreign fighters capable of solving a wide range of tasks the pinnacle of the “dream”. According to the representative of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Kiev will thus be able to “close the sky” to Russian weapons and will be able to hit distant land targets.
US President Joe Biden said the day before that the United States and its allies would transfer 700 tanks to Ukrainian leaders. In addition, intentions are reported to supply Kiev with a large number of armored vehicles, artillery systems and ammunition.
