There were no signals about the start of preparations for sanctions against the Russian Federation and the introduction of a visa regime for Russians. This was reported in the Russian diplomatic mission in Belgrade.
Earlier it was reported that Serbian President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, due to pressure from the West, nevertheless agreed to the imposition of anti-Russian sanctions. In addition, there have been reports of the likely introduction of a visa regime for Russians since March.
Izvestia was informed at the Russian Embassy that last week the head of the Russian diplomatic mission Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko met with the President, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Serbia. They discussed “immediate plans for the development of bilateral cooperation”.
“The Russian Embassy in Belgrade has not received such signals from Serbian partners,” Russian diplomats noted.
Earlier, the head of the diplomatic department of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic said that Chisinau refused to give security guarantees to the Pridnestrovian negotiators.
