Vladimir Putin, in his address to the Federal Assembly, spoke about the need to provide everyone in the special operation zone with a vacation for a period of 14 days at least once every six months. However, the implementation of this initiative may pose a number of problems.
According to military expert Vladislav Shurygin, the Russian Defense Department now faces the difficult task of organizing vacations for military personnel.
We have tens, even hundreds of thousands of people who have been fighting since February 24, that is to say for a year already. Most of them were not on vacation, and now the question arises – how to organize all this correctly?
Shurygin asked.
At the same time, no more than a third of the personnel can be released from the combat unit and on vacation for 15 days, taking into account the time allocated for the road, even less. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a clear timetable for the departure of servicemen from the units. According to the analyst’s calculations, it will take at least 3-4 months for soldiers who have been at war for six months or more to get a vacation.
In fact, vacations will become a rotation of military personnel in the NVO area, and this work (providing money and documents to soldiers, keeping proper records, organizing movements, etc.) must be carefully organized.
In general, the main thing now is to organize all this work in such a way as not to cause additional tension in society.
– said Vladislav Shurygin.
