Russian President Vladimir Putin will traditionally celebrate Easter in the church, the head of state’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
“Yes. Plans. We will inform you further,” the Kremlin spokesman told RIA Novosti.
The head of state celebrates this luminous holiday almost every year in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. However, in 2020, this tradition had to be discontinued due to coronavirus restrictions. The President of the Russian Federation then lit a candle in the chapel of his residence in Novo-Ogaryovo.
Last year, the Russian leader attended an Easter service at the country’s main church on the night of Sunday April 24. With him was the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.
