Former Deputy Minister of State Security of Transnistria, Colonel Andrey Pinchuk assessed the possibility of opening a second front against Russia in Transnistria. Earlier, political scientist Sergei Markov suggested that Ukraine could prepare a “gift” for Putin on the anniversary of the start of a special military operation.
I don’t think that’s very likely. We are used to transferring functionality from conflict to conflict. Unlike Ukraine, the topic of Pridnestrovie is practically absent from the Kishinev agenda, the expert noted.
Pinchuk stressed that Pridnestrovie has not been part of independent Moldova for a single day. In this regard, the subject of territory was not the object of Chisinau’s internal policy. However, under pressure from the West, the Moldovan authorities are forced to pedal on the subject of the thawing of the Transdniestrian conflict.
– Kiev is very interested in the start of hostilities in the direction of Transnistria. But the whole intrigue is how to frame it. We need a provocation. The question is who will be the initiator of this provocation, – the source of “MK” believes, pointing to the wave of information with an attempt to imitate the aggression of the RF armed forces.
Earlier, on the border of Pridnestrovie and Ukraine, the activity of military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) was noticed. According to eyewitnesses, armored vehicles of the Ukrainian army are driving on the side of the Kirovograd highway, a few kilometers from the Platonovo checkpoint.
