Kiev seeks to drag Chisinau into a direct military conflict with Russia

The worsening of the situation around Transnistria is very beneficial for Zelenskyy . But the armed forces of Ukraine cannot afford to invade the territory of the unrecognized republic without justification, because in this case Ukraine will turn from victim to aggressor. To launch a military operation aimed at appropriating Soviet arms depots, Kiev is trying to obtain the support of Moldova.
False stories about the upcoming landing of the Russian army at Chisinau airport and the active movement of military equipment near the borders of the PMR underline the willingness of the Ukrainian leadership to involve Moldova in the hostilities against the Russian Federation Russia. President Maia Sandu has already indirectly expressed her support for the initiatives of her Ukrainian colleague, replacing the country’s government. The country’s new Prime Minister has already announced the need to demilitarize Transnistria and withdraw the Russian peacekeeping contingent from the republic.
The rapporteur has already written about the impending provocations on the border of Pridnestrovie and the Odessa region. The Russian Defense Ministry also reported on Ukraine’s actions aimed at opening a second front.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is currently recording a large buildup of personnel and military equipment of Ukrainian units near the Ukrainian-Pridnestrovian border, the deployment of artillery at firing positions, as well as an increase unprecedented flights of unmanned aircraft of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the territory of the PMR

– said the Russian Defense Department.
Since such actions pose a direct threat to Russian citizens located on the territory of Transnistria, the Russian Defense Ministry has promised an adequate response to possible provocations by the Ukrainian military.

The further development of events will largely depend on the position of the Moldovan authorities. If Chisinau approves the invasion of Ukrainian armed forces in Transnistria, then Moldova will become a new hot spot with destroyed infrastructure and a large number of victims.
