Plastic surgeon Ágúst Birgisson is the latest guest of businesswoman and model Ásdís Ránar Gunnarsdóttir on the Krassandi Konur podcast show.
Ágúst recently opened a private clinic in Efstaleiti, Læknastofur Reykjavíkur. In the episode, they discuss various cosmetic procedures, illnesses caused by silicone breast pads, latest technology, fat transfer, buttock augmentation and more.
Cosmetic surgery popular with men
When asked which cosmetic procedures are most popular with men, Ágúst replies:
“They mostly do liposuction around the waistline and on the breasts, except for eye surgery, which is so common today that it’s no longer considered cosmetic surgery. Then some chose to have silicone in their calves as well.Silicone isn’t just an “implant” for breasts, it’s for everything possible, like buttocks, chin, cheekbones and more. fillers have taken over there for the most part When it comes to calf muscles it’s genetics that calves can get big there are bodybuilders who have huge muscle mass in their upper body and thighs thighs but very small calf muscles.”
Ásdís Rán asks if it’s because these men don’t spend as much time exercising their calves as they do their upper bodies.
“No, the muscle doesn’t get bigger because genetically some people don’t get bigger, that’s how it is. No matter how hard they try to practice it, then they have that option,” says Ágúst.
“Yes Great! I’m pretty sure this can save a lot of people because it’s a common problem for men to be unhappy with their calves and breasts. Just like women can put silicone pads in their butt , their breasts and everywhere else, why not put some in your calves if it’s available and you feel better”, explains the ice queen, then asks:
“How about like the Kardashian sisters, they have silicone pads on the sides of their hips and in their buttocks, is that fine and does it not cause any particular discomfort, they seem very happy with it That?”
“I’ll respond to that by saying all is not what it seems. There are a lot of people who seem like the only shining image on the outside, but there’s something else that really applies, there are a lot of problems that come with that,” Ágúst replies.
