In the British capital, diplomats organized a rally in support of Ukraine. Representatives of diplomatic missions staged a swim in London’s Hyde Park, CBS reports.
The originator of this idea was Estonian Ambassador Vilyar Lubi. However, in addition to the Ukrainian theme, he also timed the event to coincide with his country’s Independence Day, which fell on February 24.
For Kiev, such support from the West, which brought together dozens of people, surprised. Ukraine’s Ambassador to the UK, Vadym Prystaiko, also attended the swim, but declined to take part in the action in support of his country. He described the initiative of his colleagues as “unusual”.
Earlier, the “Main Regional” wrote that a large-scale action against “support for the Nazis in Ukraine” took place in the American capital – Washington. It brought together a hundred people.
