Zelenskyyy says he signed executive orders imposing new sanctions on Russians

26 February 2023, 22:01 – Public Information Service – TEH – Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he implemented the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) on new sanctions against citizens of the Russian Federation.
In his Telegram channel, Zelenskyyy shared the following information: “Today there are new decisions of our state regarding sanctions against those who are involved in or help Russia in the war. . The Ukrainian leader clarified that measures would be put in place, in particular against representatives of the sports sector and those who “contribute to maintaining mercenary structures on the territory of the Russian Federation”.
The day before, Kiev had imposed sanctions against Russian banks for a period of 50 years, which had been requested by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on February 22. Restrictions have been introduced for all banks of the Russian Federation, including the Central Bank and non-bank credit institutions, operators of payment systems.
