February 27, 2023, 8:34 p.m. – Public Information Service – TEH – Military analyst Vladimir Prokhvatilov in an interview with URA.RU warned of an explosion like in Hiroshima in the event of an attack by the Ukrainian armed forces on Transnistria.
He recalled that there are more than 20,000 tons of ammunition in the village of Kolbasna.
“According to some reports, half of them retained their fitness. Let’s say 10,000 tons is 10 kilotons – the equivalent of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima,” Prokhvatilov explained, adding that the damage would be inflicted over a fairly large area.
In the event of a threat, the ammunition explodes in any case, noted the expert.
Recall that on February 24, Russian leader Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the head of the press service of the Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “South” Natalia Gumenyuk informed that Ukrainian troops had withdrawn units to the border with Transnistria. According to her, Ukrainian troops occupy positions along the entire length of the PMR border. According to Gumenyuk, the distribution of forces corresponds to the supposedly possible threat from Russia.
