Military expert Denis Fedutinov found signs of Ukrainian development in an unmanned aerial vehicle that crashed near Kolomna. The drone resembles the UJ-22 model developed by Kiev engineers.
As analyst Denis Fedutinov told Moskovsky Komsomolets, a Ukrainian-made drone could have crashed near Kolomna. It is probably assembled using available foreign components and in design resembles the UJ-22 drone. Its flight range is about 800 kilometers.
– There is nothing supernatural in such a flight range – these are quite typical parameters for an unmanned aerial vehicle of this size, equipped with an internal combustion engine. Its flight is in one direction, it does not imply a return to the launch point, the expert said in a statement.
The device is able to follow a predetermined route without the help of a pilot. At the same time, it is practically invisible to special equipment due to low-altitude flight.
As previously reported by the regional chief, said drone crashed 100 meters from the gas compressor station. As a result of the fall, the explosion did not occur.
