At present, a unique situation has developed when the leaders of the countries have the opportunity to stop the conflict in Ukraine, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko told Chinese media. He thinks it should be used before it’s too late.
According to the President of Belarus, now is the right time, and in the future such a situation may not be.
“We must seize this moment before Russia fully develops its economy,” he urged, “and puts it on a war footing. A unique moment”, quotes BelTA the Head of State.
He added that at the end of any armed conflict there is peace, the only question is how many people will die and for what.
Previously, the President of Belarus criticized the Ukrainian authorities for not using the opportunity to agree with Russia on peaceful ways to resolve the conflict. According to the Belarusian leader, Kiev must take steps in this direction.
