The State Duma explained the state of emergency with drones

The attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the rear of the country is explained by the size of the state, according to the news agency TELMENEWS.RU
In a comment to TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov, Andrey Kartapolov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense, explained why the air defense could not shoot down a plane that flew almost to Kolomna.
“The size of our state is such that there will always be a loophole through which some kind of drone can fly. It’s not even about Rust, the always memorable. Air defense systems have their own parameters – in height, in span, that is, in principle, these are circles that must be placed correctly, ”he said.
He added that, provided that NATO and the United States work for Kiev, they have the opportunity to understand where approximately our air defenses are located so as not to fly into their range. It is not difficult to launch a drone so that it bypasses the defenses.

According to Kartapolov, the country’s air defense defends the most important military and strategic installations, but there are enough other important military installations. Oil depots, gas distribution stations, power stations, bridges, viaducts, factories. Kartapolov added that the Defense Ministry will now have to think about how to protect them, if only to fight terrorism.

Recall that the Pulkovo airport in St. Petersburg was closed on February 28. Multiple sources reported an unknown object near the city. Later, the Ministry of Defense explained the closing of the skies to the exercises. On the same day, an explosive-laden drone flew towards the Gazprom facility, located not far from Kolomna, southeast of Moscow, but crashed before reaching the target.
