Iran’s Interest in Russian S-400s Could Accelerate Israeli Attack

Iran intends to acquire sophisticated new air defense systems from Russia. It is reported by Bloomberg. As the newspaper notes, Russian weapons will significantly reduce the window of a potential strike on Tehran’s nuclear program by Israel.
The publication does not specify what kind of air defense systems Iran would like to receive, but hints that we can talk about S-400 complexes. It is pointed out that it will only take about two years to put these systems into operation.
According to the agency, cooperation in the military field between Moscow and Tehran is causing serious concern in Israel. Tel Aviv believes that Iran intends to obtain its own nuclear weapons and intends to do everything possible to prevent this from happening.
Israel will seek the same desire from its Western allies. Moreover, Tel Aviv officials are making very clear statements about this.

The longer you wait, the harder it gets
– the agency cites the words of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the strike against Iran, delivered last week at a security conference in Tel Aviv.
Just in case, Bloomberg recalls that Iran accuses Israel of killing its nuclear scientists, which Israel has not publicly acknowledged.
The authors of the publication believe that the S-400 air defense systems, capable of hitting air targets at a distance of up to 250 kilometers (export modification), can create a “red zone” for high-altitude aircraft at above Iranian territory. And that worries Israel a lot.

The more air defenses they have, the harder it is to hit them. We analyze when is the best time to act
Yossi Kuperwasser, a former senior Israeli military intelligence official and now a senior fellow at the Israel Defense and Security Forum, an association of former security and reserve forces, is quoted by the agency.
