Armenia recognized as the country most similar to Mars

Armenia was recognized as a country more similar to Mars than others, and was chosen as the location for conducting research simulations on this planet, reports Sputnik Armenia with reference to Austrian science portal Futurezone.at.

As noted, the Austrian Space Forum (OeWF) will test systems and equipment in Armenia that can be sent to explore Mars. The AMADEE-24 experiment will take place in March 2024.

According to OeWF representatives, there are plans to create a “geological twin” of Mars in Armenia. The participants in the experiment have already been selected, they are Austrian, German, Israeli, Italian and British citizens, in total two women and four men.
