Pskov athlete Natalya Spiridonova completed the category of international master of sports in the high jump. She informed the correspondent of the All-Russian Athletics Federation.
Natalya Spiridonova also became the Russian indoor high jump champion in 2023. The athlete took a height of 1.94. Second place is Daria Slepova from Moscow (her result is 1.91), and third place is Polina Parfenenko from Kemerovo region with the same result as the second jumper.
For Natalia Spiridonova, it is the second title of champion of the year. As the athlete explains, the victory is distinguished precisely by the fact that she was able to complete a category of a new level.
“After the Russian championship, I did not train the technique, I just warmed up. Today I tried to take all the heights on the first try. At the start, when I took 1.91, I felt found myself at 4 positions. It became unpleasant for me – then I got ready and jumped 1.94, ”said Natalya Spiridonova and added that the competition was quite strong.

In conclusion, the athlete shared the secret of good luck – it is important for her that during the competition she was accompanied by a talisman – a teddy bear. “And I try not to pay attention to other little things,” Natalya Spiridonova said.
