In the match between Rostov and Lokomotiv, railway translator Murat Sasiev died, team head coach Mikhail Galaktionov told Match TV
According to him, the news of Sasiev’s death came shortly after the game and the team had just learned about it. Galaktionov said that Sasiev has worked for the club for a long time, and for everyone it came as a shock.
“The whole team dedicates this victory to him, we are with him mentally,” said the coach.
The match took place in Rostov, Lokomotiv won 3-1 thanks to a hat-trick from Artem Dziuba. Thanks to the victory, the “railroaders” scored 16 points and moved up to 13th place in the RPL standings.
