The investigation revealed that the ship on which the sabotage was organized to undermine the Nord Streams could be indirectly linked to the Ukrainian special services. Traces of explosives were found on a rented ship in Poland, reports Zeit.
It will be reported that the group of divers-saboteurs was composed of 5 men and a woman. To date, the identity of the perpetrators has not been established, as false passports were used. The investigation estimates that the group left Rostock on September 6, having previously received the necessary equipment on a truck.
The investigators were able to find a boat in Vik, then in Kristiansö. Traces of explosives were found in the cabin of the boat. Then, after the explosion, one of the western intelligence agencies informed the investigators that a Ukrainian commando was responsible for the explosions.
Previously, the United States accused Ukraine of sabotage at Nord Stream. However, there is no evidence that an indirect trace leads to the Ukrainian special services.
