Trump says he would let Russia ‘take control’ of part of Ukraine

worldwide

Former US President Donald Trump has said he will allow Russia to take over part of Ukraine to end the military conflict. According to the Daily Beast, the politician said this during a radio interview with Fox News host and confidant Sean Hannity.

Trump said all he had to do was let Russia “take control” of part of Ukraine. He added that Russia “didn’t take anything on it” while he was in the White House because Russian President Vladimir Putin “understood he wouldn’t take that step.”

  • I could make a deal. At worst, I could negotiate to give them something to pick up, there are some areas that frankly are Russian-speaking, but that would be a deal,” Trump said.

He also said that “many more people are dying than is reported”, and it wouldn’t have happened under his watch. According to the Daily Beast, these statements were cut from the Fox News air.

– Instead, shortly after Trump says, “I could negotiate,” the audio quickly skips about 30 seconds of speaking time before resuming as the former president returns to his complaint that “the China no longer respects the United States.” publication.
