Motorists will not notice the departure of Continental from the Russian Federation and will buy the same tires cheaper

Russian motorists should not worry about the departure of tire manufacturer Continental from the market. The name and composition of the tires will likely change, but the price will drop, said Alexander Kazachenko, vice president of the Automobile Service Association.

The Kaluga company has been “frozen” since last year after the start of a special military operation. Now we are talking about the complete withdrawal of the brand from the Russian market. Continental won’t allow the name to be used, but tire production won’t stop.

“When the factory was made in Poland, this rubber there was called Conti, we’ll call it a kind of Conti +, roughly speaking. Find something to replace. Everything is the same, but with different indices, and, of course, there will be a different price. Probably cheaper, because they will not give brand deductions on the sale of each wheel”, quotes the NSN newspaper the interlocutor.

Previously, the Moscow Automobile Plant published data on the cost and characteristics of the vehicles produced, including the sensational Moskvich-3 with an electric motor.
