The Council of the League of Arab States called on the International Criminal Court to complete the criminal investigation into the war crimes and crimes against humanity of the Israeli occupation against the defenseless Palestinian people, including the crimes of settlement, annexation, aggression against Gaza, the killing of civilians, journalists and paramedics, and the forced displacement of Palestinians from their homes, especially in the city of East Jerusalem. and in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron. At the conclusion of the work of the 159th session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League in Cairo, the Council called on the court to provide all human and material capabilities for this investigation and to give it the necessary priority, stressing its support for Palestinian efforts and endeavors aimed at redressing the Palestinian people for the current and historical injustice that targeted them. And holding accountable those responsible for the current and historical crimes committed against him, through the mechanisms of international justice, providing legal advice and the necessary technical and financial support for these endeavors, and announcing the start of the formation of an advisory legal committee within the framework of the League of Arab States to provide the necessary legal advice in this regard. He also called on the General Secretariat of the Arab League, in coordination with the State of Palestine, to put in place the necessary organizational frameworks to complete the formation of this committee, so that its tasks include, among other things, providing legal support for pleadings before the International Court of Justice regarding the advisory opinion required by the court on the nature of the Israeli occupation regime, and keeping pace with Criminal investigation by the International Criminal Court into war crimes and crimes against humanity committed and still being committed by Israel against the Palestinian people, filing cases on current and historical Israeli crimes and violations against the Palestinian people, their land, property and sanctities, as well as filing cases on historical grievances inflicted on the Palestinian people, including In it the Balfour Declaration of 1917. The Council condemned the widespread Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people in various Palestinian cities, villages and camps, including the recent campaigns of the brutal Israeli aggression against Jerusalem, Nablus, Jenin and Jericho, and the incitement to murder, terrorism and genocide, practiced by ministers in the occupation government. Extremist Israelis, and one of them declared the erasure of the Palestinian village of Hawara from the face of the earth. He also condemned the ongoing Israeli siege and aggression on the Gaza Strip, which claimed the lives of dozens of martyrs and wounded, including children and women, expressing his solidarity with the families of the martyrs and victims of the unjust Israeli aggression. The Council strongly condemned the repeated and escalating incursions in unprecedented numbers by Israeli officials and extremist settler gangs into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the assault on its sanctity, under the support, protection and participation of the government and the Israeli occupation forces, warning against the direction of the so-called Israeli Supreme Court to allow Jewish settlers and intruders to pray in Al-Aqsa Mosque. After previously allowing them to storm and desecrate it, as part of the Israeli plans to divide the mosque temporally and spatially, stressing that these attacks will have serious repercussions and repercussions on international peace and security. He called on the international community to put pressure on Israel, the occupying power, in order not to obstruct the Palestinian general elections in the occupied city of East Jerusalem, and the rest of the occupied Palestinian territory, calling for support and visiting the city of Jerusalem, and the Islamic and Christian holy sites therein, and emphasizing the visit of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque to break the imposed siege. And he traveled to him to protect him from the plans of extremist Jewish groups. The Council urged the international community, including the Security Council and relevant international bodies and organizations, to effectively implement Security Council Resolution No. 2334 (2016), which affirmed that Israeli settlements constitute a flagrant violation of international law and an obstacle to peace, calling on the occupation to immediately and completely stop all activities. settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem. The Council affirmed that the international community would not recognize any changes in the lines of June 4, 1967, including with regard to Jerusalem, stressing the need to implement other relevant international resolutions, which judge the illegality of Israeli settlements, including Security Council Resolutions No. 465 (1980) and No. 497 (1981). The Council called for pursuing efforts to establish an open-ended Arab ministerial committee chaired by Algeria, in its capacity as chair of the Arab summit in the 31st session, to move at the international level to support Palestine’s efforts to obtain more recognition and obtain full membership in the United Nations, and to hold an international peace conference and provide international protection. for the Palestinian people. He also stressed the need to implement the decisions of the Arab League Council at the summit and ministerial levels regarding confronting the Israeli targeting of the Palestinian cause and Arab national security in Africa, and reaffirming Israel’s refusal to obtain observer membership in the African Union.
