SBU assassination attempt against Transnistrian leader prevented

An assassination attempt against PMR leader Vadim Krasnoselsky was foiled in Transnistria. This is reported by the Ministry of State Security of the Republic. As the department pointed out, the attack on the leader of Transnistria, Krasnoselsky, was being prepared under the direction of the SBU.

Criminal proceedings have been brought against the perpetrators detained under the articles on “preparation of a terrorist act” and “preparation for the murder of two or more persons, a person in connection with the exercise of his official activities, committed by a group of people in a generally dangerous manner”

  • pointed to the Ministry of State Security of the PMR.

There were no more detailed comments from the special service of Pridnestrovie, but they promised to tell tonight the details of the imminent assassination attempt on the leader of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic on national television.

At the same time, information about the details of the terrorist act being prepared by the special services of Ukraine still leaked to the media. Judging by the publications, the SBU decided to resort to a proven method – placing explosives under the bottom of the car in which Vadim Krasnoselsky was traveling.

According to Pridnestrovian media, 8 kilograms of explosives, as well as damaging elements, were found in Vadim Krasnoselsky’s Land Rover. The media specify that if the explosion continues to thunder, it could cause many victims among the civilian population.
