Karam m. Fahad Muhammad Al-Qahtani, Assistant Undersecretary for Urban Planning Affairs at the Ministry of Municipality and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Gulf Engineering Forum, during the closing ceremony of the 24th Gulf Engineering Forum, which was held under the title: Environmental Engineering and Sustainability during the period (07-09 March 2023) at the Doha Sheraton Hotel, both sponsors and agencies Participation in the forum. Which was organized by the Ministry of Municipality in cooperation with the Gulf Engineering Union and the Qatar Society of Engineers. The closing ceremony was attended by M. Muhammad Ali Al-Khuzai, Secretary General of the Gulf Engineering Union, Eng. Khaled Ahmed Al-Nasr, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Society of Engineers, a number of officials of the urban planning sector, delegations of member states and representatives of the parties participating in the accompanying exhibition. A number of delegations from countries, governmental and semi-governmental agencies, and participating companies were honored during the forum by presenting certificates of honor and souvenirs during the closing ceremony. A special honor was given to: His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Environment Public Authority from the State of Kuwait, His Excellency Engineer Saad bin Saleh bin Shuail, Secretary General of the National Committee for the Saudi Building Code from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Engineer Muhammad Ghaith Al-Mutairi, who holds a patent in renewable energy from Saudi Arabia. The official sponsors of the 24th Gulf Engineering Forum were honored, namely: Istithmar Holding Company (Platinum Sponsor), Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (Bronze Sponsor), Public Works Authority, Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa), Qatar Rail Authority, Karwa Mowasalat Company (the official sponsor of transportation), Qatar International Islamic Bank (the official bank), media sponsor (Dar Al Sharq), and Q/Terminals. The scientific committee supervising the selection of engineering working papers was also honored, and they are: Dr. Sheikh Saud bin Khalifa Al Thani from the State of Qatar, Dr. Nahla Al Qasimi from the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Muhammad Al-Qahtani from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Farid Bushehri from the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Eng. Adel Al-Mashri from the sisterly State of Kuwait, and Engineer Nada Ibrahim from the State of Qatar. Distinguished Participants A number of participants were also honored for their distinguished attendance, namely: Engineer Masoud Al-Harmi from the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Engineer Hamoud Al-Salmi from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Engineer Salem bin Saeed Al-Ruqaishi from the Sultanate of Oman, and Engineer Abdul Majeed Al-Qassab from the Kingdom of Bahrain. In conclusion, the participating parties were honored in the exhibition accompanying the 24th Gulf Engineering Forum, where the Gulf Engineering Union, the Emirates Society of Engineers, the Bahrain Society of Engineers, the Oman Society of Engineers, the Saudi Council of Engineers, the Qatari Society of Engineers, and the Kuwaiti Society of Engineers were honored. A number of pavilions of specialized bodies were also honored, such as the National Committee for the Saudi Building Code, consultants, Kuwait University (College of Engineering), Qatar University (College of Engineering), Expo 2023 Doha Pavilion, Committee of Qatari Women Engineers, Qatar Scientific Club, Seashore Group, Engineers Australia , green wall. A special tribute was also given to the representative of the Qatar Voluntary Center, who exerted great efforts in organizing this distinguished event.
