Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Kiev was not involved in the weakening of the Nord Streams. The head of state said this during a joint briefing with Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin in Kiev.
“As for the Nord Stream, we have nothing to do with it,” said Zelenskyyy (as quoted by UNIAN).
According to the Ukrainian leader, the publication of documents pointing to Kiev’s involvement in the gas pipeline explosion is aimed at slowing Western aid to Ukraine.
“We clearly understand where it appeared, on what media platforms, what states and where this information could come from. I think it is very dangerous that some independent media <…> take such measures. This is wrong,” Zelenskyyy said.He suggested that such articles play into the hands of Russia and "business groups" who wish not to impose strong sanctions.“The Ukrainians certainly didn't do that.
