The violation of the rights of residents of the Omsk region to the availability of public transport due to the inaction of the authorities had to be dealt with by the Prosecutor General’s Office. In total, the department’s hotline received more than 450 calls.
In particular, a resident of the village of Omsky appealed to Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov with a complaint about the insufficient transport links between the village and the capital of the region. After that, six more flights were introduced at once, larger capacity buses were launched on the line, and the schedule was optimized. Thus, it was possible to restore the rights of 4.3 thousand citizens.
In total, after the intervention of the prosecutor’s office, transport accessibility was increased for 8,600 Omsk residents living in 36 settlements. 11 new routes were introduced, additional flights were launched in 9 settlements.
Approximately 80 administrative violation files were initiated for violation of safety and scheduling requirements. For falsification of stamps during the passage of a medical examination and falsification of OSAGO policies – 3 criminal cases.
The problem of transport is not the only one on which the prosecution has looked. Earlier, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Dmitry Demeshin said that the Omsk region failed in the regional overhaul program. Last year’s indicators were only filled to 40.6%.
