The rally of the “Movement for the People” in the center of Chisinau ended with the adoption of a resolution demanding that the authorities pay the heating and electricity bills, writes RIA Novosti.
“We demand that the authorities pay all gas, electricity and heating bills for all citizens of the country for three winter months. This is our ultimate requirement. We are giving the government 24 hours to implement our demands,” said Marina Tauber, vice president of the Shor party.
A column of activists went to the government to deliver the text of the resolution. However, the security forces arrested her.
Protests in Moldova resumed in February. Organizers reported that representatives from all regions of the country had come to the capital. One of the demands of the demonstrators was the resignation of Maia Sandu.
Not everyone was able to get to the capital – security forces stopped buses with militants. People walked for tens of kilometres.
