RMIT scientists propose to create a new remedy for weight loss from rosella flowers

wikipedia.org | Bagolina / CC BY-SA 2.0A group of scientists from the Royal Melbourne University of Technology in Australia have proposed using rosella flowers to create a weight loss product. This is reported by the Daily Mail.

Experts note that rosella flowers contain special phenolic extracts that act as lipase inhibitors. This substance is involved in the processes of fat splitting and assimilation. This property is believed to make rosella flowers useful for people who want to lose weight.

One of the study authors, Professor Ben Adjikari, suggested using the flower extract to develop a new dietary supplement. According to him, it will be produced in the form of small beads that can be added to drinks. Rosella flower supplement should be a more effective alternative to conventional remedies which have nasty side effects.
