A performance on the fate of a master who shod a chip was presented in Kurgan

– The selection of the repertoire is not accidental, – shared DPR Honored Artist Vadim Basalygin. – We have brought plays that make you think of who we are in our homeland. I play Lefty. Russia has always been based on people like my hero, because no one can sacrifice themselves for the good of their homeland like a simple person.

Donetsk “Lefty” was placed during hostilities in the DPR. The performance turned out to be strong, exciting and exceptionally relevant. Many still out of habit scold anything Russian, chasing imported clothing and household appliances. Wealthy “patriots” teach children abroad and acquire foreign citizenship just in case. But the talented blacksmith from Tula, who shod a steel chip, the British could not persuade “to be seduced by their life.” Even dying, the master thought of Russia:

  • Tell the sovereign that the British do not clean their guns with bricks: even if they do not clean ours, otherwise they are not suitable for shooting.

Meanwhile, despite the tragic fate of the protagonist and the seriousness of the topics discussed, the performance does not leave heavy feelings. On the contrary, it seems easy, richly flavored with comic scenes, folklore, jokes, irony and satire. And live music, choral singing and solo singing create an atmosphere of sadness. Everything is like a classic: funny and sad at the same time…
– The team reminded me of a young theater studio, – shared art critic Lyubov Kocharina. – The actors give the best of themselves, they are united, they breathe, as they say, the same air. And absolutely sincere.

With the same attitude, the guests played “Man from Podolsk”. The popular play is performed in many theaters in Russia, but there are fundamental differences between the people of Donetsk. This was noted by members of the jury at the Saransk festival.

“According to experts, they watched more than ten variants of Podolsk, but there is a kind of desperation everywhere,” said Vladislav Slukhaenko, general director and artistic director of the theater. – Our performance was the first in which the light at the end of the tunnel is visible. And it cannot be otherwise. There will definitely be light at the end of the tunnel in both gaming and life.
