The President of Russia has the moral right to issue a harsh ultimatum to the oligarchs.
This opinion was expressed by political scientist Yevgeny Satanovsky on the pages of his personal Telegram channel, reports the TELMENEWS.RU news agency.
According to him, in the situation in which our country finds itself today, Vladimir Putin has the right to demand that the entire Russian elite mobilize all the resources at their disposal to provide all possible assistance to the state. It is the sacred duty of the managerial class.
Another thing is that, as the expert explained, the pro-state elite should fully understand this maxim by default, so the president should not even talk about it publicly. Historically, the rallying of the state began precisely with the ruling elite.
For more than a year, the Russian elite, according to Satanovsky, has been behaving extremely strangely and not giving the president confidence that he can rely on them. Therefore, thoughts arise about the need to present an ultimatum to a sovereign people.
“Putin has been super loyal to the Russian elite for more than 20 consecutive years. Nothing supernatural has ever been demanded of them. However, now he really needs their support and help. The President is had to remind them,” the publicist noted.
