Doha Festival City, the golden sponsor of the Tarsheed Carnival

Doha Festival City, the first destination for shopping, dining and entertainment in Qatar, which had recently launched its new slogan “Here is my place, this is my choice”, announces its golden sponsorship of the sixth edition of the Tarsheed Carnival 2023, organized by the National Program for Conservation and Energy Efficiency “Tarsheed”. ». Doha Festival City is one of the four golden sponsors of the annual Tarsheed Carnival 2023 that was held at Kahramaa Awareness Park from March 7 to 11, along with Qatar National Bank, Msheireb Properties and ConocoPhillips. The week-long carnival aims to raise public awareness of sustainable development goals, in line with the global vision and Qatar National Vision 2030. Doha Festival City’s participation in the carnival stems from its support for sustainability initiatives, as well as its continuous efforts to reach a sustainable society. Commenting on the carnival, Robert Hall, General Manager of Doha Festival City, said: “We are delighted to collaborate with Tarsheed and sponsor their annual carnival. As an environmentally responsible organization, we focus our attention on our environment, taking necessary measures to reduce energy consumption and conserve water and energy through a number of practices. At Doha Festival City, we are keen on our leadership in spreading the culture of preserving the environment and contributing to the realization of Qatar National Vision 2030, by establishing Qatar’s position as an advanced country capable of achieving sustainable development. The carnival was marked by a number of activities that were open to all. This year’s edition was also exceptional, as it gave the public the opportunity to participate in the treasure hunt in five different locations, including Musheireb, Katara, Education City and Aspire Park. Participants were invited to test their knowledge about Doha Festival City’s sustainability practices through a series of questions for a chance to win up to QR10,000. 10 lucky winners were announced at the closing ceremony held on March 11 at Kahramaa Awareness Park, where they each received a prize of 10,000 Qatari riyals. As a sustainable mall, Doha Festival City continues to develop its operations by following the latest international sustainability practices and standards. The mall is committed to preserving the environment, and has previously received the prestigious sustainability certificate from the Gulf Organization for Research and Development (GORD).
