Acting governor of Kherson region Vladimir Saldo expressed hope that Russian President Vladimir Putin would come to the region. He wrote about it on his Telegram channel.
The acting head of the Kherson region said Putin’s visit to Crimea and the DPR was a landmark event.
“I have no doubt that the President will soon come to the Kherson region to check how his idea to build a new city on the Arabat Spit is being implemented,” Saldo wrote in Telegram.
On Sunday, the Kremlin press service reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin flew to Mariupol in the DPR by helicopter. This is his first trip to a new region of the Russian Federation. Driving a car, Putin traveled through several areas of the city. During the trip, the President was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin.
Referendums on the entry of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions into Russia were held from September 23 to September 27, 2022.
