Today, the Qatar Red Crescent signed a framework memorandum of understanding with the Seashore Group, with the aim of supporting cooperation and strengthening partnership between the two parties, by benefiting from the expertise and capabilities available to them, and employing them to achieve a sustainable and effective response to all humanitarian activities, which fall under the competence of both sides, in addition to supporting and implementing Awareness programs targeting workers in the areas of security, safety and prevention in areas outside the city of Doha. The memorandum of understanding establishes the general legal framework for work and joint coordination mechanisms between the two parties, in an effort to achieve the human development goals of Qatar National Vision 2030, by activating the role of social responsibility to address humanitarian issues and awareness initiatives implemented by the Qatar Red Crescent locally. It also shows ways to benefit from the volunteer resources of the Red Crescent to implement joint events and initiatives, support fundraising efforts for charitable causes, and promote its seasonal programs such as Ramadan campaigns, warm winter, sacrifices, and others, in addition to exchanging information and experiences of interest to both sides, whether with regard to sharing existing events and activities. Or launch new projects and events. The memorandum provides for the cooperation of the two parties to raise awareness and community education, work to consolidate the culture of volunteering, charitable and humanitarian work among members of society, support capacity building and exchange of experiences, provide mutual assistance, and coordinate joint projects and programs within the limits of the powers of the two parties. The scope of the memorandum also includes holding conferences, seminars and workshops. Joint specialization related to humanitarian and awareness work, and the dissemination and promotion of societal values. On this occasion, Mr. Faisal Mohammed Al-Emadi, Acting Secretary-General of the Qatar Red Crescent, praised the great role of the Seashore Group at the state level, indicating that the conclusion of the memorandum of understanding comes from the keenness of the two parties to spread awareness among the various groups of society, and implement programs related to the promotion and protection of human rights. People in the State of Qatar, which coincides with the goals of the Red Crescent and its humanitarian message. Al-Emadi stressed that partnership is one of the main pillars of the Red Crescent’s work strategy, in order to achieve its humanitarian and development goals in the long term, and to mobilize support from various sectors and institutions to raise the standard of living for the most vulnerable groups, especially in the field of awareness and community education, which reflects its motto. "Safe souls and dignity preserved". For his part, Mr. Salem Saeed Al Muhannadi, CEO of the Seashore Group, explained that the memorandum aims to strengthen partnership with the Red Crescent, implement awareness programs for workers in the field of security and safety, in addition to developing innovative programs to serve the largest possible segment of beneficiaries.
