The International Criminal Court’s decision on the “arrest” of Russian President Vladimir Putin will have monstrous consequences for international law, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev has said.
“The consequences for international law will be appalling. After all, it is the collapse of the foundations, of the principles of law. Including postulates of the inevitability of responsibility,” he wrote on the Telegram channel.
Furthermore, Medvedev called the ICC zero efficiency and also said that this tribunal cannot be compared to the Nuremberg or Tokyo tribunals.
According to him, the system of international law has finally collapsed.
Earlier, the International Criminal Court’s Pre-Trial Chamber II issued arrest warrants for Russian leader Vladimir Putin and children’s ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova.
