The arrest warrant against Russian President Vladimir Putin, issued by the International Criminal Court, did not arouse much emotion in the Kremlin. According to the head of state’s press attaché, Dmitri Peskov, they did not take this decision “to heart”.
“We are witnessing so many openly hostile demonstrations both to our country and to our president around the world that, of course, we are fixing it, but if each of these hostile demonstrations is taken to heart, nothing will come of it. probably nothing good,” said Peskov, quoted by RIA Novosti.
He noted that the Kremlin and Putin continue to work as usual.
On March 17, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Putin and children’s ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova. The court assumes that they are “responsible for a war crime” related to the illegal deportation of children from Ukrainian territory since February 24.
Remember that the Russian Federation does not recognize the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court. Also, the decisions of this court shake the air of the United States, China, India, Israel and Iran.
