Turkey partially resumed transit of sanctioned goods to Russia

Turkey has partially resumed the transit of sanctioned Western goods to Russia, but problems with re-exporting goods from America and Canada persist, reports Kommersant.

KBT’s Customs Broker and Logistics Manager Yulia Shlenskaya said that since March 17, Turkish partners have been reporting the restoration of the transit clearance system.

“Some Turks continue to speculate on this topic, saying that everything is complicated and very individual, respectively, the price is higher. We re-exported our shipments on Friday,” she said.

Alexey Chernyshev, commercial director of AKFA, in turn noted that the supply of all goods is not allowed. The Optimaloga company was able to organize the transit of goods from Europe, but when the country of origin “America” was indicated in the declaration, re-export was prohibited, said general manager Georgy Vlastopulo. He explained that products can be exported if you specify another state.

“Most of the problems have been eliminated and the goods, both export, with which there were no problems, and transit, are sent in normal mode,” said the F + tech-Marvel group.

It should be noted that the company has not encountered any delays in its own shipment, but several other suppliers are aware of similar problems.
