Speaking about China’s cooperation with Russia, Xi Jinping stressed its strategic importance for Beijing and China’s commitment to further strengthen bilateral cooperation. “The two countries, being the largest neighbors and partners in comprehensive strategic cooperation, regard each other as a priority in their diplomacy and foreign policy. China has always pursued an independent foreign policy. The strengthening and development of relations with the Russia is China’s strategic choice based on its own indigenous interests and the general trend of global development,” the Chinese Foreign Ministry said quoting the head of state.
Xi Jinping also noted that Moscow and Beijing are in favor of a multipolar world and have a positive impact on the democratization of international relations. The Chinese leader believes that the two countries should further develop cooperation in a wide range of fields, as well as fruitfully interact in the UN and other international platforms, playing the role of guarantor of the global stability.
