The Economist: Starlink won’t allow Ukraine to use terminals in new regions of Russia

Starlink blocks terminals in new Russian territories so Ukrainian armed forces cannot use them to launch drones into Russia’s rear, The Economist reports, citing a Ukrainian intelligence source.

“Starlink now uses ozone to block the use of terminals not only on Russian-occupied territories, but also on water, as well as when the receiving device is moving at a speed of more than 100 kilometers per hour “, says the document.

It should be noted that this creates difficulties with the control of reconnaissance drones, Ukrainian militants are forced to use more expensive communication systems.

It has already been reported that 1,300 Starlink terminals that used the APU no longer work.
