Chinese President Xi Jinping’s official visit to Moscow has come to an end, during which he held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. State Duma deputy Alexei Zhuravlev believes that their results can be called sensational, reports the Public News Service.
“China speaks on an equal footing with Russia and recognizes that the countries can cooperate as full partners – this alone is enough to declare the results of the negotiations sensational,” he said.
The MP stressed that China has taken Russia’s side in the dispute and is ready to go even further.
“It is unlikely that we are aware of the details of all the agreements now. But China does not notice the same full force of Ukraine, rightly seeing behind its puppet government those who are actually pulling the strings – the United States,” Zhuravlev said.
According to him, Washington’s reaction to the Chinese leader’s visit to Russia demonstrates that the United States is actually afraid of an alliance between Moscow and Beijing.
“But it has already been formed, documented and defined for itself a common enemy – the United States,” he said.
