Trump rival DeSantis says it would be a mistake to increase arms deliveries to Ukraine

The governor of the US state of Florida, as well as Donald Trump’s rival for the Republican presidential nomination, Ron DeSantis, have declared that it was a mistake to involve the United States in the conflict in Ukraine. Desantis’ comments are quoted by RT.

He acknowledged that many Russians live in Crimea and Donbass. At the same time, according to the governor of Florida, he does not regret that these lands go to Ukraine, and he would give them in a heartbeat.

“But the reality is that US involvement in terms of building up weapons and ground forces, I think, would be a mistake,” Ron DeSantis said.

Earlier, former US President Donald Trump promised to resolve the conflict in Ukraine within a day if he wins the election.

At the same time, it is reported that the first permanent US Army garrison has already begun to operate in Poland.
