Media: US soldier injured in strike on US base in Syria

At least one US soldier was injured in a rocket attack on a US base in Deir ez-Zor province in eastern Syria. This was reported by Al Jazeera TV channel, citing a senior US official.

Earlier it became known about the bombing of two American bases at once in Deir ez-Zor – in the fields of Koniko and Omar. According to the Al-Mayadeen TV channel, eight rockets fell on and near the Koniko base.

Prior to that, the United States launched airstrikes on formations allegedly associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Syria. The Pentagon said it was in response to a drone attack on a US base near the town of Hasek. It resulted in the deaths of five US servicemen and one employee.
