The region’s Ministry of Ecology reported an unscheduled inspection conducted on March 20 and 21 at Regal businesses. Department inspectors visited the Lyangasovo microdistrict, where the company operates, at the request of the regional prosecutor’s office. The reason for the control was the threat of serious harm to the health of the inhabitants of Lyangasovo.
In February of this year, local residents complained about an unpleasant smell that was formed during the burning of carpentry waste on the territory of the Regal enterprise.
Employees of the Ministry of Ecology went to the company’s industrial site and ensured that the waste was burned without special facilities, poisoning the air in the neighborhood. This was notified to the police, the fire brigade, the environmental prosecutor’s office.
Recall that the Russian government has banned inspections of the activities of entrepreneurs, which greatly complicated the work of the Ministry of Ecology in the region. The department tried to negotiate with the organization in a civilized manner, appealing to the conscience and conscience of the company’s management, but nothing came of it. “Regal” continued to burn garbage and poison nature and the people of Lyangasovo.
Then, the Ministry of Ecology turned to the regional prosecutor’s office, after having received the “green light” for verification.
As a result, samples of industrial emissions were taken for research, the ministry promised to release the results later.
