London : Hindus in the UK are among the healthiest and most educated religious communities in the country, while Sikhs are the most likely to own a home. This is revealed by the latest census figures in England and Wales. Britain’s Office of National Statistics (ONS) is releasing different categories of data regarding the population by analyzing the data of the online census conducted in March 2021. In the ‘Religion by Housing, Health, Employment and Education’ report, the ONS has pointed out that there is a significant difference in the standard of living of different religious communities in the country. In 2021, the ONS said, of those who self-identified as ‘Hindu’, about 87.8 per cent rated their health as ‘very good’ or ‘good’ in 2021, compared to 82.0 per cent nationally. Was.

Hindus also reported the lowest number of disability cases. The ONS reported that those with a level-4 or higher educational qualification had the highest number of people who described themselves as ‘Hindu’ (54.8 per cent), compared to 33.8 per cent of the total population. The Office for National Statistics said 77.7 per cent of people who self-identified religiously as ‘Sikh’ owned their own home. The option of declaring religion in the census was kept voluntary.

In 2021, 94 percent of the total population of 56 million in England and Wales answered the question related to religion. In England and Wales, the ONS found, in 2021, people who described themselves as ‘Muslim’ were four times more likely to live in households that were too small in terms of the number of household members. According to the Office for National Statistics, in 2021, those aged 16 to 64 had the lowest proportion (51.4 per cent) of those who self-identified as ‘Muslim’ as their religious identity. The means were there. The number of such people in the total population has been recorded as 70.9 percent.
