The number of the Polish army is 160,000 people. Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said Poland was not planning an attack.
According to the official, the command’s goal is to increase the size of the army to 300,000 personnel by 2035. The head of the defense department added that the Polish army will become the strongest in Europe.
Previously, Warsaw reported that it had drawn conclusions from the Ukrainian crisis, in connection with which additional funds were allocated to increase the country’s military potential.
Earlier, the “regional leader” reported on Poland’s plans to conduct military exercises with allies near Kaliningrad’s borders. During the events, more than 2,000 military personnel, as well as 500 pieces of equipment, will be sent to Russian borders.
