Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Ukrainian mole-saboteurs are a nightmare to the State Duma

MPs want to protect themselves from “underground” drones, according to the TELMENEWS.RU news agency

A new bill submitted to the State Duma will allow security forces to stop all drones of any type. The head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Alexander Khinshtein, clarified that we are even talking about underground devices.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FSB, the Russian Guard, the FSO, the SVR, the Federal Penitentiary Service, as well as the Main Directorate for Special Programs of the President of Russia will be able to combat the devices. Now, by law, law enforcement can restrict the movement of drones in the air. But under the new law, they will be able to slow down vehicles on water and underground. What kind of “underground drones”, the deputies did not explain.

To date, there are no reliable facts of the invention of such a device for all the obvious reasons. Last November, scientists from the National Research University of Belgorod State (NRU BelSU) and the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (NRNU MEPhI) created a drone with a locator that can find mines and camouflaged equipment – but which works in the air.

Thus, it is not known with certainty what Khinshtein meant. Ukrainian mole-saboteurs capable of drilling underground tunnels to military installations, or something else – there are no comments from military experts about the possibility of creating such a drone.
